Semi-Skilled MET Technician

Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 per annum
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are currently recruiting for a Semi-Skilled MET Technician to join a busy and established automotive workshop.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced MET Technician looking to develop their skills further within a varied workshop environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' experience working within a bodyshop, accident repair centre or similar automotive setting.

The Role

• Carry out mechanical, electrical and trim (MET) work to a high standard.
• Assist with vehicle dismantling, preparation and reassembly.
• Support general body repair and vehicle preparation work.
• Undertake welding and fabrication where required.
• Assist with paint preparation and spraying when necessary.
• Work alongside other workshop staff to ensure vehicles are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Carry out any additional workshop duties as required.

About You

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar MET or automotive role.
• Good practical knowledge of mechanical, electrical and trim work.
• Experience within a bodyshop, workshop or accident repair environment.
• Ideally comfortable with welding, fabrication and general vehicle preparation.
• Reliable, adaptable and keen to learn new skills.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence would be advantageous.
